Harry Lee Wadding, 74, from Blairsville, died on Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center, Pittsburgh, PA.

He was born April 1, 1947 in Indiana, PA, the son of the late Kenneth Wadding and Emma (Lamar) Wadding. Harry served in the US Marines as a helicopter gunner during the Vietnam War, where he obtained a Maritime Safety Code. He had attended Wesleyan Methodist Church, Indiana, PA. He was a coal miner, truck driver and member of UMWA.

Harry enjoyed working on foreign cars, driving his grandchildren on his lawn mower, spending time with his family and going for walks with his wife.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Viola (Stipcak) Wadding, Blairsville, PA; son, Jason Wadding & wife, Amanda, Homer City, PA; son, Kevin Wadding and fiance, Ashley, Blairsville, PA; grandchildren: Kevin, Aspin, Megan, Ethan, Nathan, Emmy, Ray, KJ, Aiden and Katie; brother, Carl Wadding & wife, Karen, Sandusky, OH; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Tammy Lynn Plopi in 2017 and his brothers, William Wadding and Kenneth Gene Wadding.

The family will receive the friends at James F. Ferguson Funeral Home, Inc., 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday October 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Dan Cunkelman will officiate.

VFW Post # 5821 and American Legion Post # 0407 will be holding military services at the cemetery on Friday morning. Interment will be in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville, Pennsylvania.
